RIGMOR ANDERSEN (1903 - 1995)
After studying Danish architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Rigmor Andersen worked with Danish architect Kaare Klint from 1929 to 1939. Primarily a furniture designer, she taught at the Danish Academy since 1944. Examples of her work are in the collections of many museums, including the Danish Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen. The Knud V. Englehardt Memorial Prize and Eckerseberg Medal (received with Annelise Bjorner) have been awarded to Andersen for the Margrethe pattern.
